Sammanfattning : Dynamic ankle-foot orthosis (DAFO) is a thin supra malleolar orthosis used as a compliment to the total treatment program in children with cerebral palsy (CP) in order to facilitate function in sitting, standing and walking. Sammanfattning : Achilles tendon rupture is a common injury which most often affects otherwise healthy individuals and which causes long periods of rehabilitation with absence from work and sport activities and frequently sequele with reduced calf muscle performance. The aim of this thesis is to improve understanding of how injury affects the function of the Achilles tendon, and to functionally evaluate different designs of ankle foot orthoses used during rehabilitation after an Achilles tendon rupture.
