Sammanfattning : This thesis examines the biology, ecology and anthropogenic threats of Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops aduncus) off Zanzibar, Tanzania, based on research conducted and samples collected between 2000 and 2008. 3. Organohalogen contaminants in humans with emphasis on polybrominated diphenyl ethers
Sammanfattning : The occurrence and distribution of organohalogen compounds, including polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), in humans was investigated. For this purpose, the previously used method for analysis of organochlorine compounds was modified for the analysis of PBDEs and hydroxylated metabolites of polychlorinated biphenyls (OH-PCBs) in breast milk, matemal and cord blood plasma, liver and adipose tissue. Sammanfattning : The white-tailed sea eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla) is in the top of the marine food chain and its existence in Sweden has been threatened several times.
