  1. 1. Design and Synthesis of Inhibitors Targeting the Aspartic Proteases HIV-1 PR and BACE-1

    Författare :Jenny Adrian Meredith; Bertil Samuelsson; Ulf Ellervik; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Organic chemistry; Organisk kemi; organisk kemi; Organic Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis describes the synthesis of molecules designed for inhibition of two aspartic proteases, viral HIV-1 PR and human BACE-1. It also reports on the structure activity relationships of the targeted enzyme inhibitors. It is estimated that currently 33 million people are infected with HIV, the causative agent of AIDS. 2. 2. Fluorine-Free Ionic Liquids and Electrolytes : From Synthesis to Energy Storage Applications

    Författare :Mukhtiar Ahmed; Faiz Ullah Shah; Patrik Johansson; Alexander Shaplov; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Ionic Liquids; Electrolytes; Sustainability; Lithium ion batteries; Flourine-Free; Chemistry of Interfaces; Gränsytors kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Since their introduction by Sony in 1990, lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) have acquired a sizable market share. They have the best energy densities, a high open circuit voltage, a low self-discharge rate, no memory effect, and a slow loss of charge when not in use. LÄS MER
