6. Nonlinear localization in discrete and continuum systems : applications for optical waveguide arrays
Sammanfattning : An introcludion to the formation of coherent structures in spatially discrete and continuous systems is given. Of special interest is the phenomenon of nonlinear localization, where the self-focusing of an excitation is balanced by a dispersive process. LÄS MER
7. Neutron Scattering at 96 MeV
Sammanfattning : Data on elastic scattering of 96 MeV neutrons from 56Fe, 89Y and 208Pb in the angular interval 10-70° are presented. The previously published data on 208Pb have been extended, as a new method has been developed to obtain additional information at the most forward angles. LÄS MER
8. Distributions Of Fiber Characteristics As A Tool To Evaluate Mechanical Pulps
Sammanfattning : Mechanical pulps are used in paper products such as magazine or news grade printing papers or paperboard. Mechanical pulping gives a high yield; nearly everything in the tree except the bark is used in the paper. This means that mechanical pulping consumes much less wood than chemical pulping, especially to produce a unit area of printing surface. LÄS MER
9. Elastic Neutron Scattering at 96 MeV
Sammanfattning : A facility for studies of elastic neutron scattering in the 50–130 MeV range has been developed. In addition to elastic neutron scattering, it has been used for (n,p) and (n,d) reaction experiments. The performance of the device has been illustrated in measurements of the (n,p) and (n,n) cross sections on 1H and 12C. LÄS MER
10. Model catalysts studied by x-rays, visible and infrared light
Sammanfattning : This work is focused on the study of transition metal model catalysts for gas-phase heterogeneous catalysis, studied with light-based in-situ and operando techniques.Metallic model catalysts, such as Palladium (Pd) and Iridium (Ir) single crystals and in minor part deposited Rhodium (Rh), were studied using a combination of x-ray and non x-ray techniques.
