    Nyckelord :open-angle glaucoma; relative afferent pupillary defect; pupillometer; visual field; Frequency Doubling Technology Perimetry; High-pass Resolution Perimetry; Heidelberg Retina Tomography;

    Sammanfattning : Aim:To investigate the ability of a custom-built pupillometer and other novel diagnostic instruments to detect and monitor optic nerve damage in glaucoma.Methods:In the first two studies we investigated pupillary reactions to light in patients with glaucoma and in healthy persons using a custom-built pupillometer. 3. 3. Visual outcome, ocular findings, and visual processing skills after allogeneic stem cell transplantation in children

    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Stem cell transplantation (SCT) offers a chance of cure in children with leukaemia and other life-threatening haematological, immunological, and metabolic diseases that do not respond to conventional treatment. 4. 4. Visual function and ocular morphology in children with surgically treated hydrocephalus

    Författare :Susann Andersson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :vision; hydrocephalus; ocular morphology; children;

    Sammanfattning : Abstract Aims To investigate the frequency of ophthalmological abnormalities, the need and timing of eye-care interventions as well as incidence, aetiology and neurological/neuropsychological outcomes in children with hydrocephalus needing surgical treatment during the first year of life. Patients and Methods Papers I & II: Seventy-five school-aged children (34 girls and 41 boys) with surgically treated hydrocephalus and 140 age and sex matched control participants underwent a comprehensive ophthalmologic examination including structured history taking regarding visual perceptual problems and ocular fundus photography.
