  1. 1. Att vara vaken under operation i regional anestesi : Från patienters upplevelser till en vårdande modell

    Författare :Ann-Christin Karlsson; Sofia Almerud Österberg; Margaretha Ekebergh; Annika Larsson Mauléon; Åsa Engström; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; anesthesia care; hermeneutics; intraoperative caring model; patient’s experiences; patient-nurse interaction; phenomenology; philosophy; reflective lifeworld research; regional anesthesia; video recording; Vårdvetenskap; Caring Science; Caring Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Aim: The overall aim of the thesis was to describe the experiences of awake patients during surgery under regional anesthesia. In addition, the aim was to develop a model for intraoperative care that can support and enhance patients’ well-being during the intraoperative period. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Anypath Routing for Reducing Latency in Multi-Channel Wireless Mesh Networks

    Författare :Andreas Lavén; Anna Brunstrom; Andreas Kassler; Björn Landfeldt; Karlstads universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Wireless Mesh Networks; Anypath Routing; Forwarding; VoIP; Computer Science; Datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Increasing capacity in wireless mesh networks can be achieved by using multiple channels and radios. By using different channels, two nodes can send packets at the same time without interfering with each other. To utilize diversity of available frequency, a channel assignment scheme is required. 3. 3. Data Quality in Wide-Area Monitoring and Control Systems : PMU Data Latency, Completness, and Design of Wide-Area Damping Systems

    Författare :Kun Zhu; Lars Nordström; Boming Zhang; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Phasor Measurement Units; Wide-Area Monitoring and Control systems; latency; completeness; power system communication; simulation; empirical study;

    Sammanfattning : The strain on modern electrical power system operation has led to an ever increasing utilization of new Information Communication Technology (ICT) systems to enhance the reliability and efficiency of grid operation. Among these proposals, Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU)-based Wide-Area Monitoring and Control (WAMC) systems have been recognized as one of the enablers of “Smart Grid”, particularly at the transmission level, due to their capability to improve the real-time situational awareness of the grid. 4. 4. Oxy-coal combustion and its integration with power systems for CO2 capture

    Författare :Yukun Hu; Jinyue Yan; Roland Span; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; oxy-coal combustion; flue gas recycle; radiation; peak and off-peak operations; cryogenic CO2 purification;

    Sammanfattning : Oxy-fuel combustion is one of the technologies for carbon dioxide (CO2) capture and storage (CCS) in fossil fuel based power systems to mitigate global greenhouse gases (GHGs) emissions. When introducing oxy-fuel combustion into the power systems, energy penalty for CCS has significant impacts on the system performance. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Analysis and Control Aspects of a PMSynRel Drive in a Hybrid Electric Vehicle Application

    Författare :Shuang Zhao; Chandur Sadarangani; Zi-Qiang Zhu; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Active damping control; electric drive; electric vehicle; hybrid electric vehicle; integrated charger; permanent-magnet assisted synchronous reluctance machine; position estimation; sensorless control;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals withmodeling and control of an electric drive equipped with a permanentmagnet assisted synchronous reluctance (PMSynRel) machine for a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle application.In the first part of the thesis, a special use of the PMSynRel machine in consideration, known as an integrated charger concept, is investigated.
