  1. 21. Monitoring anti-infectives and antibiotic resistance genes : with focus on analytical method development, effects of antibiotics and national perspectives

    Författare :Ghazanfar Ali Khan; Jerker Fick; Klaus Kümmerer; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; method development; on-line solid phase extraction liquid chromatography mass spectrometry SPE LC-MS MS ; antibiotics; anti-infectives; constructed wetlands CWs ; denatured gradient gel electrophoresis DGGE ; percentage removal efficiency PRE ; shannon index; antibiotic resistance genes ARGs ; real-time polymerase chain reaction RT-PCR ; drug formulation facilities DFF ; wastewater; epidemiology; pandemic; influenza; compliance;

    Sammanfattning : Antibiotics are biologically active and are globally used in humans and animal medicine for treatment and in sub-therapeutic amounts as growth promoters in animal husbandry, aquaculture and agriculture. After excretion, inappropriate disposal and discharge from drug production facilities they enter into water bodies either as intact drugs, metabolites or transformed products. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Capillary electroseparations with mass spectrometric detection Nanoparticle-based continuous full filling and applications for complex sample matrices

    Författare :Peter Viberg; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Analytisk kemi; Analytical chemistry; phthalates; continuous full filling; heterocyclic aromatic amines; pseudostationary phase; capillary electrophoresis; electrokinetic chromatography; capillary electrochromatography; nanoelectrospray; mass spectrometry;

    Sammanfattning : One of the major challenges in analytical chemistry is to find techniques and methods for determinations of low abundance compounds in complex sample matrices. This thesis describes the development of new miniaturised analytical techniques comprising capillary electroseparation combined with mass spectrometric detection. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Surface Sampling and Automated Liquid Membrane Extraction of Fungicides

    Författare :Margareta Sandahl; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; natural water analysis; microporous membrane liquid-liquid extraction MMLLE ; supported liquid membrane SLM extraction; Dislodgeable fungicide residues; surface sampling; automated sample preparation for HPLC; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : A number of approaches for fungicide determination are presented. A surface sampling technique is utilised for the determination of fungicide foliar residues on greenhouse surfaces, mainly leaves. The procedure is based on solvation of the fungicides on the leaf surface with ethanol and HPLC analysis. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Towards more selective sorbents for extraction of drugs and biomarkers from biological fluids using molecularly imprinted polymers

    Författare :Mohammad Mahdi Moein; Mohamed Abdel-Rehim; Milton L. Lee; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; molecularly imprinted polymer; sol-gel; solid phase extraction; microextraction by packed sorbent; monolithic column; Analytical Chemistry; analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Sample preparation has a critical role as a first step in analytical processes, especially in bioanalysis and environmental analysis. A good sample preparation technique should be robust and stable, regardless of the sample matrix. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Novel nonlinear multivariate calibration methods

    Författare :Greger Andersson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : The interest fornonlinear modeling has increasedconcomitantly with the increased awareness of the ubiquity ofnonlinear systems. The traditional solution in analyticalchemistry, to linearize the system by some sort of samplepretreatment, is not always an option in process analyticalchemistry. LÄS MER
