21. Monitoring anti-infectives and antibiotic resistance genes : with focus on analytical method development, effects of antibiotics and national perspectives
Sammanfattning : Antibiotics are biologically active and are globally used in humans and animal medicine for treatment and in sub-therapeutic amounts as growth promoters in animal husbandry, aquaculture and agriculture. After excretion, inappropriate disposal and discharge from drug production facilities they enter into water bodies either as intact drugs, metabolites or transformed products. LÄS MER
22. Capillary electroseparations with mass spectrometric detection Nanoparticle-based continuous full filling and applications for complex sample matrices
Sammanfattning : One of the major challenges in analytical chemistry is to find techniques and methods for determinations of low abundance compounds in complex sample matrices. This thesis describes the development of new miniaturised analytical techniques comprising capillary electroseparation combined with mass spectrometric detection. LÄS MER
23. Surface Sampling and Automated Liquid Membrane Extraction of Fungicides
Sammanfattning : A number of approaches for fungicide determination are presented. A surface sampling technique is utilised for the determination of fungicide foliar residues on greenhouse surfaces, mainly leaves. The procedure is based on solvation of the fungicides on the leaf surface with ethanol and HPLC analysis. LÄS MER
24. Towards more selective sorbents for extraction of drugs and biomarkers from biological fluids using molecularly imprinted polymers
Sammanfattning : Sample preparation has a critical role as a first step in analytical processes, especially in bioanalysis and environmental analysis. A good sample preparation technique should be robust and stable, regardless of the sample matrix. LÄS MER
25. Novel nonlinear multivariate calibration methods
Sammanfattning : The interest fornonlinear modeling has increasedconcomitantly with the increased awareness of the ubiquity ofnonlinear systems. The traditional solution in analyticalchemistry, to linearize the system by some sort of samplepretreatment, is not always an option in process analyticalchemistry. LÄS MER
