  1. 1. Template Based Recognition of On-Line Handwriting

    Författare :Jakob Sternby; Matematik LTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; on-line handwriting recognition segmentation dynamic programming clustering discriminative clustering;

    Sammanfattning : Software for recognition of handwriting has been available for several decades now and research on the subject have produced several different strategies for producing competitive recognition accuracies, especially in the case of isolated single characters. The problem of recognizing samples of handwriting with arbitrary connections between constituent characters (emph{unconstrained handwriting}) adds considerable complexity in form of the segmentation problem. 2. 2. Novel on-line mid infrared detection strategies in capillary electrophoretic systems

    Författare :Malin Kölhed; Bo Karlberg; Sven P. Jacobsson; Andre' J. Sommer; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; on-line hyphenation; mid infrared detection; capillary electrophoresis; FTIR; quantum cascade laser; aqueous samples; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Infrared absorption spectra can provide analytically useful information on a large variety of compounds, ranging from small ions to large biological molecules. In fact, all analytes that possess a dipole moment that changes during vibration are infrared-active. The infrared (IR) spectrum can be subdivided into far-, mid- and near- regions. LÄS MER

  3. 3. On-line Sample Pretreatment Based on Membrane Enrichment, Mainly Using Supported Liquid Membranes, for Chromatographic Analysis

    Författare :Yin Shen; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Biological Sample; Environmental Sample; Capillary Gas Chromatography; Ion Chromatography; Automation; Sample Pretreatment; Enrichment; Membrane; Extraction; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : The main objective of this work was to construct practical analytical systems for the analysis of environmental and biological samples, using membrane-based techniques for sample pretreatment and chromatography for final analysis. Two types of membrane processes have been applied, with emphasis on automation. LÄS MER

  4. 4. A Study of Different Methods for Inclusion Characterization towards On-line use during Steelmaking

    Författare :Diana Janis; Pär Jönsson; Lauri Holappa; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; on-line method; PDA OES; electrolytic extraction; inclusions; clusters; nozzle clogging; secondary steelmaking;

    Sammanfattning : The interest of gaining on-line information related to non-metallic inclusions during the steelmaking process has recently increased due to the development as well as the promising results of the Pulse Distribution Analysis with Optical Emission Spectroscopy method (PDA/OES). Even though, the time from sampling to presented results on inclusions is only about 5-10 minutes, the method has also shown limitations with respect to the determination of some inclusion characteristics. 5. 5. Sampling, sample treatment, assay and real time monitoring of biotechnological processes using an integrated flow-injection system

    Författare :Mohammad Mazlomi; Bioteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Bioprocess; Sampling; Sample treatment; On-line monitoring; Real time monitoring; Flow injection; Immunoassay; Fermentation;

    Sammanfattning : Microorganisms can be used for production of pharmaceutical substances. With the introduction of gene technology, it is possible to transfer information from one organism to the other, thereby making the receiving organism capable of producing substances that it did not so before. This development is very important for e.g. LÄS MER
