    Författare :Simon Lindroth [formerly Tyrberg]; Mats Leijon; Brian Holmes; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Wave power; Measurement systems; Marine technology; Energy conversion; Renewable energy; Energy absorption; Wave resource; Oceanic engineering; Linear generators; Point absorbers; Sea trials; Camera systems; Accelerometers; Offshore experiments; Engineering Science with specialization in Science of Electricity; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot elektricitetslära;

    Sammanfattning : On March 13th, 2006, the Division of Electricity at Uppsala University deployed its first wave energy converter, L1, in the ocean southwest of Lysekil. L1 consisted of a buoy at the surface, connected through a line to a linear generator on the seabed. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Grid connection of offshore renewable energy sources

    Författare :Christoffer Fjellstedt; Karin Thomas; Mats Leijon; Daniel Månsson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Grid connection; Electronic filters; Power transformers; Offshore collection grids; HVDC transmission; HVAC transmission; Marine current energy; Engineering Science with specialization in Science of Electricity; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot elektricitetslära;

    Sammanfattning : In order to achieve net zero emissions from the electricity sector, the proportion of renewable energy sources connected to the electrical grid needs to be increased significantly in the coming years. Established renewable energy sources, such as wind power and solar power, will certainly be crucial in achieving this. LÄS MER

  3. 18. On maintenance optimization for offshore wind farms

    Författare :Francois Besnard; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; life cycle cost; optimization; maintenance; maintenance planning; Offshore wind energy; maintenance strategy; maintenance support organization; reliability;

    Sammanfattning : The maintenance cost is known to be an important part of the levelized cost of energy generated by wind parks. Operational costs can be significantly reduced by optimizing decisions for maintenance strategies, maintenance support organization and maintenance planning. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Swash Processes and Dune Erosion: Emphasis on Vessel-Generated Waves

    Författare :Li Erikson; Avdelningen för Teknisk vattenresurslära; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; marklära; kartografi; klimatologi; Civil engineering; hydraulic engineering; geomorfologi; Fysisk geografi; climatology; cartography; pedology; geomorphology; Naturvetenskap; Physical geography; Natural science; swash; erosion; vessel-generated waves; dunes; offshore technology; soil mechanics; Väg- och vattenbyggnadsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : In navigable waterways, owing to the relatively short fetches for wind wave generation, the free waves generated by moving vessels often produce the dominant wave action with respect to erosion of the shore. In response to the fairly recent introduction of high-speed ferries, combined with a planned expansion within the passenger- and car-carrying ship market, the need to model and predict coastline changes as a result of exposure to vessel-generated waves has become a topic of increased research. 5. 20. Network Modelling for Evaluation of Mechanical Properties of Cellulose Fibre Fluff

    Författare :Susanne Heyden; Byggnadsmekanik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; hydraulic engineering; Civil engineering; fracture; fibres; computer simulation; offshore technology; soil mechanics; Väg- och vattenbyggnadsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : A network mechanics model for cellulose fibre fluff is proposed. 2D and 3D versions of the model have been implemented and the influence of various micro-level parameters on the global mechanical performance has been determined by means of computer simulations. LÄS MER
