  1. 1. In-Beam Spectroscopy of the Neutron Deficient Nuclei 92Pd and 162Ta

    Författare :Farnaz Ghazi Moradi; Bo Cederwall; Matthias Weiszflog; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Studies of nuclei far from stability offers new insights into the complete nucleon many-body problem. In nuclei with equal neutron and proton numbers (N=Z), the unique nature of the atomic nucleus as an object composed of two distinct types of fermions can be expressed as enhanced correlations arising between neutrons and protons occupying orbitals with the same quantum numbers. 2. 2. Experimental Nuclear Structure Studies in the Vicinityof the N = Z Nucleus 100Sn and in the ExtremelyNeutron Deficient 162Ta Nucleus

    Författare :Farnaz Ghazi Moradi; Bo Cederwall; Costel Marian Petrache; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Nuclear structure; Fysik; Physics;

    Sammanfattning : This work covers spectroscopic studies of nuclei from different regions of the Segré chart whose properties illustrate the delicate balance between the forces in the atomic nucleus. Studies of nuclei far from stability offer new insights into the complex nucleon many-body problem. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Rotational Bands and Pairing Interaction in the Shell Model

    Författare :Andrius Juodagalvis; Matematisk fysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; statistical physics; gravitation; relativity; Rotational bands; Shell model; Cranked Nilsson-Strutinsky; Pairing interaction; Backbending; Band termination; Proton-neutron pairing; Quadrupole electromagnetic moments and transition strengths; N=Z nuclei; Mathematical and general theoretical physics; quantum mechanics; classical mechanics; klassisk mekanik; Matematisk och allmän teoretisk fysik; thermodynamics; Fysicumarkivet A:2000:Juodagalvis; termodynamik; statistisk fysik; kvantmekanik; relativitet;

    Sammanfattning : One of the goals pursued in the present research was to understand the nuclear phenomena (such as rotational bands, their backbending and termination, deformation, pairing correlations, etc.) using different views provided by different nuclear models. LÄS MER
