2. Ultrasound measurement of cervical length in the second trimester of pregnancy for prediction of preterm delivery
Sammanfattning : Abstract Background: Short cervical length is a risk factor for preterm delivery (PTD) and screening of cervical length using transvaginal ultrasound in the second trimester is a proposed method to find women at risk Aims: To examine the potential value of routine measurement of cervical length in a Swedish population of women with singleton pregnancies in the prediction of PTD. To estimate inter- and intra-observer agreement and reliability of cervical length measurements. LÄS MER
3. Genetic Determinants of Dyslipidemia
Sammanfattning : Dyslipidemia is a chronic deviation from normal blood lipid levels that can lead to atherosclerosis and other cardiovascular diseases; dyslipidemia and its sequelae are caused by the complex interplay of genetic and environmental factors. Although circulating concentrations of total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) have a strong genetic underpinning, not much is known about the genetic factors that affect long-term deteriorations in lipid concentrations.
