1. Software Quality Alignment : Evaluation and Understanding
Sammanfattning : Background: The software development environment is growing increasingly complex, with a greater diversity of stakeholders involved in product development. Moves towards global software development with onshoring, offshoring, insourcing and outsourcing have seen a range of stakeholders introduced to the software development process, each with their own incentives and understanding of their product. 2. Stress urinary incontinence among women. Aspects of risk factors, evaluation and surgical treatment
Sammanfattning : The etiology of female stress urinary incontinence (SUI) is unclear. By linking three nationwide medical registries we evaluated maternal and obstetric factors associated with later SUI surgery. Surgery for SUI was strongly associated with vaginal delivery, but not with pregnancy as such. LÄS MER
3. Evaluation of Modern Irrigation Techniques with Brackish Water
Sammanfattning : Modern irrigation techniques are becoming increasingly important in water-scarce countries especially in arid and semiarid regions. Higher crop production and better water use efficiency are usually achieved by drip irrigation as compared to other irrigation methods. LÄS MER
4. Design and optimization of parallel haptic devices : Design methodology and experimental evaluation
Sammanfattning : The simulation of surgical procedures, in the case of hard tissues such as bone or teeth milling, using a haptic milling surgery simulator requires a haptic device which can provide high stiffness and transparency. To mimic a real milling process of hard tissue, such as for example creating a narrow channel or cavity, the simulator needs to provide force/torque feedback in 5–6 degrees of freedom (DOF). LÄS MER
5. Global-Scale Modelling of the Land-Surface Water Balance : Development and Analysis of WASMOD-M
Sammanfattning : Water is essential for all life on earth. Global population increase and climate change are projected to increase the water stress, which already today is very high in many areas of the world. The differences between the largest and smallest global runoff estimates exceed the highest continental runoff estimates. LÄS MER
