  1. 11. Effective Spatial Mapping for Coupled Code Analysis of Thermal–Hydraulics/Neutron–Kinetics of Boiling Water Reactors

    Författare :Joanna Peltonen; Weimin Ma; Maria Avramova; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Boiling Water Reactor; RELAP5; TRACE; PARCS; Coupled TH NK analysis; Spatial Mapping; Turbine Trip; Feedwater Transient; Control Rod Drop; Reactor Stability; Hierarchical Clustering; kokvattenreaktor; reaktoranalys; RELAP5; TRACE; PARCS; TH NK analys; turbin tripp; matarvatten transient; fallande styrstav; reaktor stabilitet; hierarkisk klustringsmetodik; SRA - Energy; SRA - Energi;

    Sammanfattning : Analyses of nuclear reactor safety have increasingly required coupling of full three dimensional neutron kinetics (NK) core models with system transient thermal–hydraulics (TH) codes.  In order to produce results within a reasonable computing time, the coupled codes use two different spatial description of the reactor core. 2. 12. Kärnkraftverkets poetik : Begreppsliggöranden av svenska kärnkraftverk 1965–1973

    Författare :Fredrik Krohn Andersson; Mårten Snickare; Catharina Nolin; Emelie Karlsmo; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; architecture; collective identity; cultural heritage; discourse analysis; landscape architecture; national identity; nuclear power; power plant; Samfundet för Hembygdsvård; konstvetenskap; History Of Art;

    Sammanfattning : The first Swedish commercial nuclear power plant was ordered in 1965. By 1973 it had been inaugurated, and building work had begun on the remaining three facilities that became the locations of Swedish large-scale nuclear power production. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Nuclear medicine methods in idiopathic Parkinsonism : pre- and postsynaptic dopamine SPECT

    Författare :Susanna Jakobson Mo; Katrine Åhlström Riklund; Anne Larsson Strömvall; Lars Forsgren; Rimma Axelsson; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Nuclear medicine; SPECT; 123I-FP-Cit; 123I-IBZM; dopamine; parkinsonism; Parkinson’s disease; multiple system atrophy; progressive supranuclear palsy; Radiology; radiologi;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) with dopamine transporter (DAT) and dopamine D2 receptor (D2R) ligands can visualise the integrity of the nigrostriatal dopamine system. Parkinson’s disease (PD) and the atypical parkinsonian diseases (APD), progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) and multiple system atrophy (MSA), have similar symptoms and dopamine depletion, but differ in pharmacological response and prognosis. 4. 14. Neutron induced light-ion production from iron and bismuth at 175 MeV

    Författare :Riccardo Bevilacqua; Stephan Pomp; Magnus Wolke; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; neutron induced reactions; light-ion production; quasi-monoenergetic neutron beam; nuclear data; accelerator driven systems; Nuclear physics; Kärnfysik; Nuclear Physics; kärnfysik; Applied Nuclear Physics; tillämpad kärnfysik;

    Sammanfattning : Light-ions (protons, deuterons, tritons, 3He and α articles) production in the interaction of 175 MeV neutrons with iron and bismuth has been measured using the Medley setup at the The Svedberg Laboratory (TSL) in Uppsala. These measurements have been conducted in the frame of an international collaboration whose aim is to provide the scientific community with new nuclear data of interest for the development of Accelerator Driven Systems, in the range of 20 to 200 MeV. 5. 15. Safety Reviews of Technical System Modifications in the Nuclear Industry

    Författare :Thomas Falk; Sven-Ove Hansson; Teemu Reiman; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :safety; safety review; nuclear; nuclear power plant; process; process improvement; action research; experience feedback;

    Sammanfattning : The function of safety reviews (here understood as expert judgements on proposals for design modifications and redesign of technical systems in commercial Nuclear Power Plants, supported by formalised safety review processes) plays a fundamental role for safety in nuclear installations. The primary aims of the presented case studies includes: critically examining and identifying the main areas for improvement of the existing technical safety review process as it is conducted at a Swedish nuclear power plant, developing a new process, and evaluating whether any improvements were accomplished.
