  1. 16. Gene regulation in normal and malignant B-lineage cells

    Författare :Lucía Peña Pérez; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : B-cells are the central players of humoral immunity. It is known that their development is orchestrated by a small group of transcription factors including the E-proteins and the FOXO proteins, yet this process is far from completely understood. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Identification of Unique Hematopoietic Stem Cell Properties

    Författare :Jens Nygren; Lunds universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Kardiovaskulära systemet; Cardiovascular system; Hematologi; extracellulära vätskor; Haematology; extracellular fluids; cell cycle; fusion; transdifferentiation; plasticity; Medicine human and vertebrates ; Medicin människa och djur ; quiescence; hematopoietic stem cell; self-renewal;

    Sammanfattning : Hematopoietic stem cells (HSC) are sufficient and required for life long production of all blood cell lineages. Steady state HSCs are largely quiescent and we demonstrate that the kinetics of HSC cell cycling are slower compared to more committed progenitor cells also during expansion and self-renewal ex vivo and in physiological conditions. 3. 18. FLT3 receptor in normal and malignant hematopoiesis

    Författare :Shabnam Kharazi; Stamcellscentrum (SCC); []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; FLT3-ITD; FLT3; lineage commitment; acute myeloid leukemia; myeloprolifetaive disease; hematopoietic stem cell;

    Sammanfattning : All hematopoietic cells originate from hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) residing in the bone marrow (BM). The classical model of hematopoietic lineage commitment, that has been the prevailing model for hematopoiesis, proposes that the first lineage commitment step of HSCs and progenitors results in a strict separation of myelopoiesis and lymphopoiesis. 4. 19. The role of Lhx2 in the hematopoietic stem cell function, liver development and disease

    Författare :Ewa Wandzioch; Leif Carlsson; Stephen A Duncan; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Cell and molecular biology; liver fibrosis; liver development; Lhx2; hematopoietic stem cells; Cell- och molekylärbiologi; Cell and molecular biology; Cell- och molekylärbiologi; molecular cell biology; molekylär cellbiologi;

    Sammanfattning : During embryonic development, generation of functional organs is dependent on proper interactions between different cell types. Elucidation of the mechanisms operating during organ formation might provide insights into the origin of many pathological disorders in the adult. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Protease proforms as hematopoietic regulators

    Författare :Stefan Sköld; Avdelningen för hematologi och transfusionsmedicin; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; granulopoiesis proform PR3 NO ribonucleotide reductase; extracellular fluids; Haematology; Hematologi; extracellulära vätskor;

    Sammanfattning : A common feature in myeloid leukemia is suppression of normal hematopoiesis, leading to infections, bleeding and anemia. It has been suggested for a long time that leukemic cells possess a growth-advantage by overproducing an inhibitor - a leukamia associated inhibitor. LÄS MER
