16. Loads and responses for planing craft in waves
Sammanfattning : Experimental and numerical analysis of loads and responses for planing craft in waves is considered. Extensive experiments have been performed on a planing craft, in full-scale as well as in model scale. The test set-ups and significant results are reviewed. LÄS MER
17. Load-carrying capacity of a strengthened reinforced concrete bridge : Non-linear finite element modeling of a test to failure. Assessment of train load capacity of a two span railway trough bridge in Örnsköldsvik strengthened with bars of Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymers (CFRP)
Sammanfattning : To meet the future traffic demands there is a constant need of making the infrastructure moreeffective. This can be achieved by increasing the capacity and/or life length of traffic lines. LÄS MER
18. Stress-laminated-timber bridge decks subjected to ultimate loads
Sammanfattning : Stress-laminated-timber (SLT) bridge decks are a satisfactory alternative to conventional short-span bridges in terms of cost and performance. SLT decks are made from several deck laminations positioned side by side. LÄS MER
19. Thermoset polymers and coatings subjected to high compressive loads
Sammanfattning : This study describes the mechanical response of thermoset polymers under high compressive loads. The study is divided into two parts. The first part focuses on the behaviour of a powder coating when used in a clamping force joint and how the properties vary when the chemical and physical structure of the coating is changed. LÄS MER
20. Modeling of planing craft in waves
Sammanfattning : Simulation of the planing hull in waves has been addressed during the last 25 years and basically been approached by strip methods. This work follows that tradition and describes a time-domain strip model for simulation of the planing hull in waves. The actual fluid mechanical problem is simplified through the strip approach.
