    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; speech enhancement; noise reduction; linear predictive coe±cients; autoregressive; codebooks; maximum-likelihood; Bayesian; nonstationary noise; blind source separation.; Telecommunication; Telekommunikation;

    Sammanfattning : Speech is a fundamental means of human communication. In the last several decades, much effort has been devoted to the efficient transmission and storage of speech signals. With advances in technology making mobile communication ubiquitous, communications anywhere has become a reality. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Mid- and near-infrared NICE-OHMS : techniques for ultra-sensitive detection of molecules in gas phase

    Författare :Thomas Hausmaninger; Ove Axner; Kyle Crabtree; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; spectrometry; NICE-OHMS; trace gas detection; acetylene; methane; isotopologues; near-infrared; mid-infrared; shot-noise; optical parametric oscillator; teknisk fysik med inriktningen mikrosystemteknik; engineering science with specialization in microsystems technology;

    Sammanfattning : Noise-immune cavity-enhanced optical heterodyne molecular spectrometry (NICE-OHMS) is a technique for ultra-sensitive detection of molecular absorption and dispersion. For highest performance, the technique combines cavity enhancement (CE) with frequency modulation (FM); while the former increases the effective interaction length between the light and the analyte by several orders of magnitudes, the latter removes the in-coupling of 1/f noise and makes the signals background free. 3. 18. Electric machine control for energy efficient electric drive systems

    Författare :Andreas Andersson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; permanent magnet synchronous machine PMSM ; noise assessment; Energy efficiency; modulation techniques;

    Sammanfattning : Pure electric vehicles and hybrid electric vehicles are of increasing interest in the automotive industry, much due to challenges such as emission level legislations and the environmental impact of the transportation sector. When continuously striving for better performing and more energy efficient electric powertrains, with high drivability and redundancy, there is an ever increasing need for further research and development in the areas of controls, design and system level optimization.
