1. Opioidberoende : en studie om beroendevården och det sociala sammanhangets betydelse
Sammanfattning : Opioid dependence is highly associated with health problems relating to physical health (infectious diseases) as well as mental health (depression, anxiety, antisocial behavior). In addition, research has found an association between use of opioids and increased risk of premature death as a consequence of overdose or other circumstances, such as suicide. LÄS MER
2. Spotted Fever Rickettsioses in Sweden : Aspects of Epidemiology, Clinical Manifestations and Co-infections
Sammanfattning : The spotted fever group rickettsiae are emerging diseases. They cause damage in their hosts by invading the endothelium in small to medium-sized blood vessels, which results in vasculitis that can cause clinical manifestations from most organs. LÄS MER
3. High-Resolution Measurement of the 4He(g,n) Reaction in the Giant Resonance Region
Sammanfattning : A comprehensive near-threshold 4He(g,n) absolute cross section measurement has been performed at the high-resolution tagged-photon facility MAX-lab located in Lund, Sweden. The 20 < Eg < 45 MeV tagged photons (covering the Giant Dipole Resonance energy region) were directed towards a liquid 4He target, and knocked-out neutrons were detected in a pair of 60 cm x 60 cm vetoed NE213A liquid scintillator arrays. 4. Computational biology of blood disorders: Patterns and algorithms
Sammanfattning : The morphological and molecular characterization and of malignant blood disorders is pivotal to ensure a correct diagnosis, guide therapy, and, in the longer term, to identify their molecular causes. Over the past several years, new technology has increased our abilities to describe, typecast, and understand hematologic malignancies beyond what was previously possible. LÄS MER
5. Energy Efficient Protocols for Active RFID
Sammanfattning : Radio frequency identification (RFID) systems come in different flavours; passive, active, semi-passive, or semi-active. Those different types of RFID are supported by different, internationally accepted protocol standards as well as by several accepted proprietary protocols. LÄS MER
