  1. 11. CarcinoEmbryonic Antigen-related Cell Adhesion Molecule 8 (CEACAM8) : Purification, Characterization, Cellular and Clinical Studies

    Författare :Linshu Zhao; Per Venge; Claes Dahlgren; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Biochemistry; human neutrophil; human eosinophil; granule proteins; CEA; CEACAM8; G-CSF; ELISA; subcellular fractionation; Biokemi; Biochemistry; Biokemi;

    Sammanfattning : A 95-kDa protein was purified from normal human granulocytes. The protein reacted with a monoclonal antibody against CEACAM8. MALDI-Tof and MS/MS analyses revealed the protein to be a CGM6 gene product. Thus, the protein was proved to be identical to CEACAM8. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Granulocyte Adhesion to Matrix Proteins and the Effect on the Release of Granule Proteins : Development of a Simple Method and its Application in Experimental and Clinical Studies

    Författare :Xiaoyan Xu; Joachim Lundahl; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Medical sciences; Eosinophils; Neutrophils; Adhesion; Release of ECP; Extracellular matrix proteins; Granulocytes; MEDICIN OCH VÅRD; MEDICINE; MEDICIN; Clinical Chemistry; klinisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Granulocyte adhesion and release of their granule proteins are key steps during selective accumulation of a certain cell to an inflammatory site. Eosinophils are specifically recruited to sites of allergic inflammation and parasitic infection, whereas neutrophil influx predominates in bacterial infection and rheumatoid arthritis. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Biosynthesis, Processing, and Sorting of Human Neutrophil Granule Proteins. Focus on Cathepsin G, Proteinase 3, and Azurocidin

    Författare :Daniel Garwicz; Avdelningen för hematologi och transfusionsmedicin; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Hematologi; extracellular fluids; Haematology; differentiation; bone marrow progenitor cells; preproform; mutations; Cell lines; transfection; extracellulära vätskor;

    Sammanfattning : The neutrophil granulocyte contains a number of multifunctional proteins stored in different subsets of granules. The azurophil granules, synthesized early during differentiation, harbour leukocyte elastase, cathepsin G, proteinase 3, and azurocidin; the members of the serprocidin family. LÄS MER

  4. 14. The biological mechanisms in neutrophil and eosinophil adhesion and transmigration in vitro and theur relation to the inflammatory process in vivo

    Författare :Ali Moshfegh; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : In inflammatory reactions, eosinophils and neutrophils constitute the major classes of granulocytes that emigrate from the bloodstream into the tissues. The recruitment of inflammatory cells constitutes a multi-step process that includes sequential adhesion and transmigration through, the endothelial lining, the underlying basement membrane and a variety of extracellular matrix components. 5. 15. Kostmann syndrome : a clinical and pathophysiological study

    Författare :Göran Carlsson; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :Kostmann syndrome; severe congenital neutropenia; autosomal recessive; periodontitis; antibacterial peptides; LL-3 7; apoptosis; Bcl-2; granulocyte colony-stimulating factor; glycosylation; lenograstim; filgrastim.;

    Sammanfattning : Kostmann syndrome or severe congenital neutropenia (SCN) is a rare disease, usually diagnosed during the first months of life, characterized by extremely low levels of neutrophils in the peripheral blood, a maturational arrest of the myelopoiesis in the bone marrow and severe bacterial infections. The purpose of this project was to improve the understanding of the clinical course and the pathophysiology of autosomal recessive SCN. LÄS MER
