  3. 13. Input-Output Stability Analysis of Networked Control Systems

    Författare :Johannes Nygren; Kristiaan Pelckmans; Torkel Glad; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Networked control systems; L2-stability; quantization; delay; packet dropouts; switching systems; Elektroteknik med inriktning mot reglerteknik; Electrical Engineering with specialization in Automatic Control;

    Sammanfattning : The main focus of the thesis is to derive stability criteria for networked control system (NCS) models featuring imperfections such as time-varying and constant delays, quantization, packet dropouts, and non-uniform sampling intervals. The main method of proof is based on matrix algebra, as opposed to methods using Lyapunov functions or integral quadratic constraints (IQC). LÄS MER

  4. 14. Optimizing Networked Systems and Inverse Optimal Control

    Författare :Han Zhang; Xiaoming Hu; Elias Jarlebring; Yiguang Hong; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Networked systems; energy optimal consensus control; semi-definite programming; distributed optimization; inverse optimal control; Mathematics; Matematik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is concerned with the problems of optimizing networked systems, including designing a distributed energy optimal consensus controller for homogeneous networked linear systems, maximizing the algebraic connectivity of a network by projected saddle point dynamics. In addition, the inverse optimal control problems for discrete-time finite time-horizon Linear Quadratic Regulators (LQRs) are considered. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Efficient Memory Access and Synchronization in NoC-based Many-core Processors

    Författare :Xiaowen Chen; Zhonghai Lu; Umit Ogras; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Many-core; Network-on-Chip; Distributed Shared Memory; Microcode; Virtual-to-physical Address Translation; Memory Access Fairness; Barrier Synchronization; Cooperative Communication; Informations- och kommunikationsteknik; Information and Communication Technology;

    Sammanfattning : In NoC-based many-core processors, memory subsystem and synchronization mechanism are always the two important design aspects, since mining parallelism and pursuing higher performance require not only optimized memory management but also efficient synchronization mechanism. Therefore, we are motivated to research on efficient memory access and synchronization in three topics, namely, efficient on-chip memory organization, fair shared memory access, and efficient many-core synchronization.
