    Sammanfattning : The setting for this study is Swedish film culture of the 1920s, which has been studied with a focus on representations of masculinity and gender relations according to four themes: 1) children and youth 2) fatherhood and love 3) sexuality and popularity 4) ethnicity and racial stereotyping.      The rise of new consumer culture in the first decades of the 20th century created turmoil between traditional and modern values, not least when it came to conceptions of gender.     Sammanfattning : This thesis discusses the history of the Latin American collections stored today at the Museum of World Culture in Sweden, emphasizing the relationship between the political ideological context of society and the signifi cance that the objects have been given over time.     Sammanfattning : The Swedish composer John Fernström (1897-1961) wrote over 200 pieces in the genres of symphonic music, chamber music and vocal music for mixed choirs, male choirs and solo vocals accompanied by piano. He lived most of his life in the province of Scania, first working in Helsingborg from 1916­ 1939 as a violinist in Nordvästra Skånes Orkester- förening [the Northwest Scanian Orchestra], whereafter he moved to Malmö and worked as a freelance conductor and composer until 1943.
