    Sammanfattning : The dissertation demonstrates how it is possible to apply the French philosopher Paul Ricoeur's hermeneutics to a musical work-of-art and illustrates the approach with an interpretation of Schubert's Great C-major Symphony (D 944). Arguments are put forward to show that the meaning of a musical work-of-art can be naively grasped under favourable communicative conditions. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this study is to explore how pensionerhood is formed through music-making. What are the building blocks of pensionerhood in musical contexts, and which values are included and excluded? In the study pensionerhood is defined in terms of cultural position, the term forming is used to define conditioning, limiting and enabling forces and the term music-making denotes a wide set of activities from arranging venues to performance.
