17. Metamodel Based Multi-Objective Optimization with Finite-Element Applications
Sammanfattning : As a result of the increase in accessibility of computational resources and the increase of computer power during the last two decades, designers are able to create computer models to simulate the behavior of complex products. To address global competitiveness, companies are forced to optimize the design of their products and production processes. LÄS MER
18. Mathematical Modeling, Optimization and Scheduling of Aircraft's Components Maintenance and of the Maintenance Workshop
Sammanfattning : This research concerns the simultaneous scheduling of preventive maintenance for a fleet of aircraft and their common components along with the maintenance workshop, to which the components are sent for repair. The problem arises from an industrial project with the Swedish aerospace and defence company Saab. LÄS MER
19. Nonlinear Programming - Robust Models and Applications
Sammanfattning : The major theme of this thesis is nonlinear programming with an emphasis on applications and robust models. The thesis has two parts. The first three papers comprise the first part. Here, we discuss robustness properties of optimal solutions to a variety of models. LÄS MER
20. Two-Level Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm for Risk-Based Life Cycle Cost Analysis
Sammanfattning : Artificial intelligence (AI) is one of the fields in science and engineering and encompasses a wide variety of subfields, ranging from general areas (learning and perception) to specific topics, such as mathematical theorems. AI and, specifically, multi-objective genetic algorithms (MOGAs) for risk-based life cycle cost (LCC) analysis should be performed to estimate the optimal replacement time of tunnel fan systems, with a view towards reducing the ownership cost and the risk cost and increasing company profitability from an economic point of view.
