  1. 6. Deconstructing political protest

    Författare :Charlotte Fridolfsson; Gullan Gidlund; Per Ledin; Jacob Torfing; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; aporia; deconstruction; demonstration; discourse theory; EMU; euro; gender; hegemony; identity; language; metaphors; movements; occupation; politics; political; political protest; poststructural; power; protest; referendum; riots; social movements; text; violence; Political science; Statsvetenskap; Political Science; Statskunskap;

    Sammanfattning : Part I of the thesis Deconstructing Political Protest is an introduction to the theoretical, epistemological and (anti)ontological approach guiding the analysis in the articles comprising Part II. Investigations into the ideological organisation of political protests are the focus in all four articles. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Simulation of Human Movements through Optimization

    Författare :Robert Pettersson; Anders Eriksson; Elena Gutierrez-Farewik; Arne Nordmark; Anders Klarbring; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; multibody system; human movements; optimal control; trajectory optimization; long jump; posture; rowing; somersault;

    Sammanfattning : Optimization has been used to simulate human neural control and resulting movement patterns. The short term aim was to develop the methodology required for solving the movement optimization problem often arising when modelling human movements. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Programming and updaing of reaching movements

    Författare :Sergei Perfiliev; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Reaching movements; motor cortex; central command; neuronal recording; trajectory updating; descending pathways; spinal cord lesions;

    Sammanfattning : Neuronal activity in the motor cortex (area 4) was recorded during reaching movements in cats, trained to perform target-reaching in response to a tone burst. Out of 350 task related neurones 12% generated short latency (20?110 ms) sensory responses to the cue triggering the reaching movement. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Lateral movements versus stationarity : adaptive alternatives in benthic invertebrates to the seasonal environment in a boreal river

    Författare :Tommy I. Olsson; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Benthic invertebrates; cold-hardiness; ice; migrations; overwintering; river; seasonal variations; spatial distribution; spring flood; water level;

    Sammanfattning : Benthic invertebrates inhabiting boreal rivers are exposed to very large seasonal variations in their physical environment. The extremes are in winter when the littoral area freezes solid and in spring when water flow increases rapidly. LÄS MER

  5. 10. From Motion to Movements : Revelations by the Infant EEG

    Författare :Pär Nyström; Claes von Hofsten; Riitta Hari; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Psychology; infant; brain; EEG; mirror neurons; ERP; ICA; MNS; Psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : The introduction of high density EEG (hd-EEG) nets for easy application on subjects of all ages has improved the possibilities to investigate the development of the infant neurophysiology. This dissertation consists of three studies (I – III) that investigate the visual motion system and mirror neuron system of the infant, and methodological sections that outline the bioelectrical background and the characteristics of the methods used.
