  1. 1. Transport, Mobility, and Workplace Location : Models and Applications

    Författare :Fatemeh Naqavi; Muriel Beser Hugosson; Nathalie Picard; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Transportsystem; Transport Systems;

    Sammanfattning : Travel demand analysis is one of the core constituents of transportation studies. Therequired insight to maintain and develop a sustainable transportation system, in additionto learning from previous research globally and locally, is generated from studyingthe effects of previous policies, investigating future possibilities and potential outcomes,and describing the current situation. 2. 2. Studies of Spinal Motor Control Networks in Genetically Modified Mouse Models

    Författare :Henrik Gezelius; Klas Kullander; Ted Ebendal; Martyn Goulding; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; acetyl choline; central nervous system; central pattern generator; Cre recombinase; development; genetic screen; glutamate; interneuron; motor neuron; mouse; mouse genetics; movement; network; neuronal network; nicotinic receptors; physiology; Renshaw cell; rhythm; spinal cord; transmitter; Neuroscience; Neurovetenskap; Neurobiology; Neurobiologi; Molecular neurobiology; Molekylär neurobiologi; Neurophysiology; Neurofysiologi; Neurobiology; Neurobiologi; medicinsk utvecklings- och neurobiologi; Developmental Neurosciences;

    Sammanfattning : Spinal neurons are important in several aspects motor control. For example, the neurons essential for locomotor movements reside in the ventral spinal cord. In this thesis, different motor control functions are being related to neuronal populations defined by their common expression of a gene. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Biomechanical assessment of head and neck movements in neck pain using 3D movement analysis

    Författare :Helena Grip; Gertjan Ettema; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :movement analysis; kinematics; helical axis; neck pain; whiplash; cervical spine; pattern classification; motor control; head-eye co-ordination; head movement; biomedicinsk strålningsvetenskap; Biomedical Radiation Science;

    Sammanfattning : Three-dimensional movement analysis was used to evaluate head and neck movement in patients with neck pain and matched controls. The aims were to further develop biomechanical models of head and neck kinematics, to investigate differences between subjects with non-specific neck pain and whiplash associated disorders (WAD), and to evaluate the potential of objective movement analysis as a decision support during diagnosis and follow-up of patients with neck pain. 4. 4. Relationships between models used for teaching chemistry and those expressed by students

    Författare :Karina Adbo; Susanne Wikman; Shu-Nu Chang-Rundgren; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; chemistry didactics; particulate nature of matter; phase transition; student expressed models; Swedish school; teaching models; Science Education; Naturvetenskap med utbildningsvetenskaplig inriktning; Science Education; Naturvetenskap med utbildningsvetenskaplig inriktning;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is focused upon chemistry as a school subject and students' interpretations and use of formally introduced teaching models. To explore students' developing repertoire of chemical models, a longitudinal interview study was undertaken spanning the first year of upper secondary school chemistry. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Dressing wearing : Movement directed by dress - dress directed by movement

    Författare :Ulrik Martin Larsen; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES;

    Sammanfattning : Contemporary dance and modern ballet often focus on conveying emotions through patterns of movement which may be abstract, obvious, or anywhere in between, supported by music, sound, or spoken words that set the mood. Scenography is typically sparse or confined to the available space, leaving the dancers as the main instrument of communication. LÄS MER
