  1. 6. Effect of timing training in golf and soccer players : skill, movement organization, and brain activity

    Författare :Marius Sommer; Louise Rönnqvist; Charlotte Häger; Nicola Hodges; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Motor timing; rhythmicity; timing training; golf shot; golf swing; kinematics; precision; variability; coordination; movement dynamics; soccer; fMRI; mirror neurons; action observation; cerebellum; perception - action.; Psychology; psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : Background Although trainers and athletes consider ‘good timing skills’ to be critical for optimal sport performance, little is known in regard to how sport-specific skills may benefit from timing training. Thus, assuming that all motor performances are mediated by an internal timing mechanism, enhanced motor timing is expected to have positive effects on both planning and execution of movement performance, and consequently on complex sports actions as golf or soccer. 3. 8. Neuronal Networks of Movement : Slc10a4 as a Modulator & Dmrt3 as a Gait-keeper

    Författare :Martin Larhammar; Klas Kullander; Leif Andersson; Åsa Wallén-Mackenzie; Robert Fyffe; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Synaptic vesicle transporter; Neuromodulation; Dopamine; Central Pattern Generator; Locomotion; Gait; Horse; Mouse; Commissural Inhibitory Interneuron; Neuroscience; Neurovetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Nerve cells are organized into complex networks that comprise the building blocks of our nervous system. Neurons communicate by transmitting messenger molecules released from synaptic vesicles. Alterations in neuronal circuitry and synaptic signaling contribute to a wide range of neurological conditions, often with consequences for movement. LÄS MER

  4. 9. The movement towards birth : A study of women's childbirth self-efficacy and early labour

    Författare :Ing-Marie Carlsson; Eva Nissen; Kristina Ziegert; Ann-Kristin Sandin Bojö; Högskolan i Halmstad; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Childbirth self-efficacy; early labour; factor analysis; grounded theory; logistics regression; pregnancy; well-being;

    Sammanfattning : Aim: The overall aim of this thesis was to increase the understanding of early labour, the latency phase of labour, based on women’s experiences and ability to handle the situation. Furthermore, the aim was to perform a psychometric testing of an instrument measuring childbirth self-efficacy and to explore the relationships to women´s well-being and number of obstetric interventions and birth outcomes.
