    Sammanfattning : This thesis assesses the effectiveness of the National Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV (PMTCT) programme in 3 sites in South Africa, and the quality of infant feeding counselling across four countries, Botswana, Kenya, Malawi and Uganda .
