- Detta är en avhandling från Umeå : Umeå university
Sammanfattning : Background Coagulase-negative staphylococci (CoNS) and in particular Staphylococcus epidermidis have emerged as major pathogens primarily causing nosocomial infections in patients with indwelling medical devices. These infections are often caused by multidrug-resistant strains of S. epidermidis (MDRSE). LÄS MER
- Detta är en avhandling från Umeå : Kemi
Sammanfattning : This thesis describes the application of multivariate methods in analyses of genomic DNA sequences, gene expression and protein synthesis, which represent each of the steps in the central dogma of biology. The recent finalisation of large sequencing projects has given us a definable core of genetic data and large-scale methods for the dynamic quantification of gene expression and protein synthesis. 3. Unveiling Mechanistic Details of Macromolecular Interactions: Structural Design and Molecular Modelling of DNA-Protein Systems in Their Active StateDetta är en avhandling från Umeå : Kemi
Sammanfattning : Molecular structure is fundamental for understanding mechanisms of molecular interactions. This applies not least to understanding biological function: every biological cell, whether bacterial or human, is an immensely complex system of thousands of molecules that exist in constant motion and interaction with each other. - Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : Stockholm University
Sammanfattning : In the present age of genome sequencing, a vast number of predicted genes are initially known only by their putative nucleotide sequence. The newly established field of bioinformatics is concerned with the computational prediction of structural and functional properties of genes and the proteins they encode, based on their nucleotide and amino acid sequences. - Detta är en avhandling från Göteborg : Chalmers University of Technology
Sammanfattning : The topic of this thesis is the analysis of large data sets of DNA sequence data produced from modern high-throughput DNA sequencing machines. Using such machines to sequence the genetic content of a microbial community produces a metagenome. This thesis comprises three research papers, all connected to the study of large metagenomic data sets. LÄS MER
