  1. 1. Performance Indicators. A performance prediction method for moisture safety design

    Författare :Veronica Yverås; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Artificial Neural Network; Performance prediction; Moisture safety;

    Sammanfattning : The aims of this research project is to develop and gain knowledge about a different approach to moisture safety design based on AI in order to attain healthy buildings and relate this new approach to current practice and prospective users. Secondary data (data produced for some other purpose) was used to train Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) to predict the performance of outdoor ventilated crawl-spaces regarding microbiological smell, mould and rot. 2. 2. Moisture Conditions in High Performance Concrete. Mathematical Modelling and Measurements

    Författare :Kristina Norling Mjörnell; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; concrete; cement; relative humidity; desorption isotherm; moisture condition; moisture transport; high performance concrete; degree of reaction;

    Sammanfattning : The work presented in this thesis has been focused on developing a model to calculate the moisture conditions in concrete of low water/binder ratio (W/B) which is normally used in high performance concrete. To do this, the moisture conditions in high performance concrete have been studied, from a very early age. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Evaluating energy efficient buildings : Energy- and moisture performance considering future climate change

    Författare :Björn Berggren; Institutionen för arkitektur och byggd miljö; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Net Zero Energy Building; passive house; thermal bridge; building envelope; energy performance; moisture performance; multi criteria decision making; climate change; climate scenarios; EN ISO 13789; EN ISO 10211;

    Sammanfattning : One of the greatest challenges the world is facing is climate change. The need of reduction of energy use and an increased use of renewable energy in buildings constitutes important climate change mitigation measures. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Characteristics of wood plastic composites based on modified wood : Moisture properties, biological performance and micromorphology

    Författare :Kristoffer Segerholm; Magnus Wålinder; Mark Hughes; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Wood plastic composites; WPC; acetylation; thermal modification; furfurylation; moisture sorption; biological durability; UV excimer laser; micromorphology;

    Sammanfattning : Biobased materials made from renewable resources, such as wood, play an important role in the sustainable development of society. One main challenge of biobased building materials is their inherent moisture sensitivity, a major cause for fungal decay, mold growth and dimensional instability, resulting in decreased service life as well as costly maintenance.
