21. Monitoring Proton Exchange and Triplet States with Fluorescence
Sammanfattning : Fluorescent molecules commonly shift to transient dark states, induced bylight or triggered by chemical reactions. The transient dark states can beused as probes of the local environment surrounding the fluorescent molecules, and are therefore attractive for use in biomolecular applications. LÄS MER
22. Millimeter-wave Communication and Radar Sensing — Opportunities, Challenges, and Solutions
Sammanfattning : With the development of communication and radar sensing technology, people are able to seek for a more convenient life and better experiences. The fifth generation (5G) mobile network provides high speed communication and internet services with a data rate up to several gigabit per second (Gbps). LÄS MER
23. Applications of the Complex Modulation Transfer Function on SEA-systems
Sammanfattning : The SEA coupling and dissipation loss factors are determined in-situ from Complex Modulation Transfer Functions, CMTF:s, based on measured impulse-responses. A quotient of CMTF:s is least-square curve-fitted to a SEA model and the SEA loss factors are determined from the results of the curve-fit. LÄS MER
24. NMR Studies of Gel-Emulsions; Diffusometry and Applications of Novel Field Gradient Techniques
Sammanfattning : The aim of these studies has been to investigate what information that can be obtained on gel-emulsions with nuclear magnetic resonance, NMR, as the investigating tool. The gel-emulsions are important in many technical applications such as in food products, in cosmetic and pharmaceutical formulations, and in emulsion explosives, just to name a few applications. 25. Transient State Fluorescence Microscopy - method development and biological applications : Exploiting the dark states of fluorophores to measure oxygen concentrations, redox state, Förster resonance energy transfer and membrane viscosity
Sammanfattning : Due to their long lifetime, triplet, redox and other transient states of fluorophores are highly sensitive to the micro-environment. Imaging their spatial distribution in biological samples can therefore help answer interesting questions about the metabolism, molecular interactions and dynamics in living cells. LÄS MER
