  1. 1. Enabling boundary-crossing collaboration for innovation : issues for collaborative working environments

    Författare :Marita Holst; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Informatik; Informatics;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, boundary-crossing collaborative knowledge work aiming for innovation and use of ICT is in focus. The starting point for the research was the proposition that we still have much to learn about boundary- crossing collaboration for innovation and the use of ICT before we can design enabling and supporting ICT and collaborative working environments. Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses the research question of how social awareness support in computer systems for groups and communities can be designed in a successful way. While the field of human-computer interaction has been working with similar questions for more than 20 years, many aspects of people’s cooperation and the way those should be considered in system design still need further consideration and research. 4. 4. Models for infections in immunodeficiency

    Författare :Anna Berglöf; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : Increased susceptibility to infections in immunodeficient patients is a well-known phenomenon. The spectrum of infections reflects the underlying defect. Experimental infections in mouse strains with different types of defined immunodeficiencies allow studying the course of infectious diseases in immunocompromised hosts. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Public Private Business Models for Defence Acquisition : A Multiple Case Study of Defence Acquisition Projects in the UK

    Författare :Thomas Ekström; Andreas Norrman; Peter Tatham; Sweden Lund Lund University Department of Industrial Management and Logistics Division of Engineering Logistics; []
    Nyckelord :ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; defence transformation; military logistics; supply chain; support chain; defence acquisition; business model; public private participation; cooperation and partnership; value-for-money; performance; risk; multiple case study; misalignment;

    Sammanfattning : Since the ending of the Cold War, the defence sector, particularly the areas of military logistics and defence acquisition, has been undergoing a comprehensive transformation. There are several factors that explain this transformation: changes in defence and security policies for nations and organisations; reductions in defence expenditure; participation in Peace Support Operations; Lessons Learned from these operations, especially in the area of logistics; revolutionary development in the area of Information and Communication Technology; emergence of novel Commercial Best Practises in the areas of business and business logistics; and changes in the legislation regarding the conduct of public procurement in Europe.
