    Sammanfattning : The three self-contained papers and the note that constitute this thesis analyze the structure of optimal tax mixes in a general-equilibrium economy of heterogeneous individuals incorporating the issue of optimal provision of a pure public good in the last two papers.     Sammanfattning : Corticosteroids are anti-inflammatory and anti-proliferative substances that also can induce sensitization, mainly through skin contact.     Sammanfattning : Concrete is the second most used material in the world just after water. A drawback is that it is mostly based on Portland cement, which has an extremely high carbon footprint reaching a staggering 900 kg/tonne.     Sammanfattning : This thesis is concerned with the modeling, simulation and analysis of adhesive layers. By use of an in situ scanning electron microscopy study it is found that the adhesive studied in the present thesis has a very complex structure with two different compounds, a mineral and an epoxy/thermoplastic blend.
