  1. 1. Transoesophageal and transthoracic recordings of mitral annulus motion

    Författare :Bo Nilsson; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :Left ventricular function; echocardiography; M-mode; tissue Doppler; mitral annulus systolic and diastolic velocities;

    Sammanfattning : Maximal systolic and diastolic velocities recorded from four sites of the mitral annulus motion (MAM) reflect left ventricular (LV) performance. This thesis focus on factors influencing M-mode derived velocities in healthy children and adults and reference values are proposed. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Tissue Doppler in Spectral and Color ModeMethodological ConsiderationsNon-invasive Estimation of Left Ventricular Filling Pressures using the E/Em index

    Författare :Aristomenis Manouras; Lars Åke Brodin; Michael Henein; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Tissue Doppler; Cardiology; Kardiologi;

    Sammanfattning : Aims: Tissue Doppler (TD) in spectral mode (spectral TD) and color TD are the two modalities available today in tissue velocity echocardiography (TVE). Measurements of left ventricular (LV) myocardial velocities and displacement may yield different results depending on the employed sonographic modality and the subjective adjustments during data analysis. 3. 3. Doppler tissue imaging in ST-elevation myocardial infarction

    Författare :Nils Witt; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Highly available, noninvasive and cost-effective, echocardiography remains a keystone in the evaluation of patients with coronary artery disease (CAD). Echocardiographic assessment of cardiac function at rest and during dobutamine stress has direct clinical implications. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Usefulness of coronary angiography for assessing left ventricular function

    Författare :Anders Kähäri; Bertil Svane; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis focus on the physiological information, on left ventricular (LV) motion in the long axis, evaluated in routine coronaty angiography sequences and based on previous knowledge from echocardiographic studies. As coronary angiography has become a very frequent examination, a method for assessment of LV function from routine coronary angiograms would probably have a significant impact on clinical work.
