    Författare :Wan-Chun Liao; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; power amplifier; MMIC; Integrated active antenna; contactless transition;

    Sammanfattning : Next-generation mobile wireless technologies demand higher data capacity than the modern sub-6 GHz technologies can provide. With abundantly available bandwidth, millimeter waves (e.g., Ka/K bands) can offer data rates of around 10 Gbit/s; however, this shift to higher frequency bands also leads to at least 20 dB more free-space path loss. 4. 14. Towards Gap Waveguide Array Antenna for Millimeter Wave Applications

    Författare :Abbas Vosoogh; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; gap waveguide; Electric Discharge Machining EDM ; Artificial Magnetic Conductor AMC ; slot array antenna; low sidelobe; high effciency; millimeter wave; aperture efficiency; Bandpass filter BPF ;

    Sammanfattning : The millimeter wave frequency range has got a lot of attention over the past few years because it contains unused frequency spectrum resources that are suitable for delivering Gbit/s end-user access in areas with high user density. Due to the limited output power that current RF active components can deliver in millimeter waves, antennas with the merits of low profile, high gain, high effciency and low cost are needed to compensate free space path loss and increase the communication distance for the emerging high data rate wireless systems. 5. 15. Micro- and Millimeter Wave CMOS Beamforming Receivers

    Författare :Andreas Axholt; Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; beamforming; CMOS; front-end; microwave; millimeter wave; phase-locked loop; phased-array;

    Sammanfattning : The available bandwidth in wireless communication systems, such as the 802.11 family, is very limited. Together with the ever increasing data traffic, this causes problems. New possibilities are, however, available thanks to wide license-free bandwidth allocated at higher frequencies. LÄS MER
