1. Modeling, analysis, state and parameter estimation of faulty induction machines
Sammanfattning : This thesis covers a broad range of subjects pertaining to induction machines, faulty as well as healthy ones. Firstly, a completely new and unconventional methodology for deriving simplest possible, yet sufficiently accurate, mathematical models for induction machines with general electrical faults is presented. LÄS MER
2. Stator fault detection and parameter estimation in induction machines
Sammanfattning : In this licentiate thesis the fascinating area of induction machines is considered. Three different problems are treated, each one of them being more or less unsolved although many researchers around the world have addressed them extensively. LÄS MER
3. Structure and functional studies of plant cell wall degrading enzymes : glycoside hydrolase family 3 β-glucosidases and lytic polysaccharide monooxygenases
Sammanfattning : Presently, plant biomass is considered as one of the major future renewable sources for the production of second-generation biofuels. While the first generation biofuels essentially are based on starch and sucrose rich feed stocks and which production may compete with food production, the second-generation biofuels may be based on lignocellulose as feedstock, which is less problematic from an ethical point of view. 4. Essays on Corporate Finance and Asset Pricing
Sammanfattning : Essay 1 (with Mattias Hamberg): We study the performance of family firms with large controlling owners using unique hand-collected Swedish data; and consistent with previous studies, we find that founding family firms perform significantly better than other firms. The data allows us to also identify firms with long term non-founding owners (LTNFOs). LÄS MER
5. Archetype identification in Urban Building Energy Modeling : Research gaps and method development
Sammanfattning : Buildings and the built environment account for a significant portion of the global energy use and greenhouse gas emissions, and reducing the energy demand in this sector is crucial for a sustainable energy transition. This highlights the need for accurate and large-scale estimations and predictions of the future energy demand in buildings. LÄS MER
