11. High frequency electronic packaging : SBU-materials, material characterization, simulation and processing
Sammanfattning : Electronic packaging continues to move towards improved performance and lower cost. Requirements of higher performance, reduced size, weight and cost of both High Density Interconnects (HDI) and high frequency (HF) devices has led to the search for new: materials, material combinations, methods, processes and production equipment. 13. Active and Passive Unequally Spaced Reflect-Arrays and Elements of RF Integration Techniques
Sammanfattning : Using an array synthesis tool based on a modified differential evolution algorithm, it is shown that the position-phase synthesis exhibits improved pattern characteristics compared to both the phase only and position only synthesis of uniform amplitude antenna arrays. The design of an unequally spaced planar reflect-array and an active power combining reflect-array are presented. LÄS MER
14. Silicon Based Photonic Devices and Their Applications
Sammanfattning : The integration of modern electronic devices for information processing is rapidly ap-proaching an interconnect bottleneck. Silicon photonics can be a promising solution forcircumventing this bottleneck, as already being anticipated by many electronics manu-facturers including HP, IBM and Intel. LÄS MER
15. Design and Numerical Modelling of Nanoplasmonic Structures at Near-Infrared for Telecom Applications
Sammanfattning : Industrial innovation is mostly driven by miniaturization. As a result of remarkable technological advancements in the fields of equipment, materials and production processes, transistor, the fundamental active component in conventional electronics, has shrunk in size. LÄS MER
