    Sammanfattning : Orthopaedic screw implants are crucial in surgical procedures for bone structures, with a longstanding issue being screw loosening. Improving screw stability requires an enhanced understanding of the bone-implant interactions and associated failure mechanisms. This knowledge can be used to optimize screw designs. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Throughout the last century, medical imaging has come to revolutionise the way we diagnose disease, and is today an indispensable part of virtually any clinical practice. In cardiovascular care imaging is extensively utilised, and the development of novel techniques promises refined diagnostic abilities: ultrasound elastography allows for constitutive tissue assessment, 4D flow magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) enables full-field flow mapping, and micro-Computed Tomography (CT) permits high-resolution imaging at pre-clinical level. 4. 14. Development of Energy-based Damage and Plasticity Models for Asphalt Concrete Mixtures

    Författare :Ibrahim Onifade; Björn Birgisson; Linbing Wang; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; energy-based models; damage; X-ray computed tomography; continuum plasticity mechanics CPM; effective micro-crack stress; Transportvetenskap; Transport Science;

    Sammanfattning : Characterizing the full range of damage and plastic behaviour of asphalt mixtures under varying strain-rates and stress states is a complex and challenging task. One reason for this  is partly due to the strain rate and temperature dependent nature of the material as well as the variation in the properties of the constituent materials that make up the composite asphalt mixture.
