  1. 1. NMR Studies of Colloidal Systems in and out of Equilibrium

    Författare :Pavel V. Yushmanov; Peter Stilbs; Terence Gosgrove; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; stopped-flow NMR; temperature-jump NMR; crossrelaxation; NMR; NMR probe; fluorosurfactant; micellar kinetics; micellar structure; Physical chemistry; Fysikalisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : The Thesis describes (i) the development of add-on instrumentation extending the capabilities of conventional NMR spectrometers and (ii) the application of the designed equipments and techniques for investigating various colloidal systems. The new equipments are: Novel designs of stopped-flow and temperature–jump inserts intended for conventional Bruker wide-bore superconductive magnets. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Enzyme Immunoassay in Combination with Liquid Chromatography for Sensitive and Selective Determination of Drugs in Biosamples

    Författare :Ulf Lövgren; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Analytical chemistry; amplification; alkaline phosphatase; enzyme immunoassay; liquid chromatography; flow-injection; micellar; Analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Two different sensitive microtitre-plate based enzyme immunoassays were developed and evaluated for determination of the model drug compound, budesonide, in blood plasma. In the first approach, high sensitivity was obtained by using amperometric detection in a flow injection system for determination of the enzyme product p-aminophenol. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Diffusion in cationic vesicle and micellar solutions- a NMR study

    Författare :Cecilia Groth; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; vesicles; Stopped-flow; micellar kinetics; water transport; DSC; Gemini surfactant; permeability; NOESY; Cationic surfactant; NMR diffusometry; extrusion;

    Sammanfattning : Double tailed cationic surfactants are the active component in softeners. In the beginning of the 90s the active component in softener formulations was changed from a hydrolytically stable dialkyl dimethyl ammonium chloride (dialkyl quat) to a cleavable and biodegradable product containing ester groups in the alkyl chains (dialkyl ester quat). 4. 4. Nuclear Magnetic Relaxation in Micellar Solution and Lyotropic Liquid Crystals. Tools and Applications

    Författare :Ruslan Sitnikov; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NMR; NMR relaxation dispersion; NMR spectrometer; low NMR frequencies; NMR duplexer; NMR preamplifier; NMR lock; surfactant systems; micellar solutions; lyotropic liquid crystals; cubic mesophase;

    Sammanfattning : Structurally, this Thesis is divided into two parts thatdescribe (i) the hardware development for NMR relaxationstudies and (ii) its applications for studies of the surfactantsystems.The developed hardware solutions allow to expand thefrequency range covered by conventional NMR spectrometers tomake NMR experiments feasible at resonance frequencies down to100 kHz. 5. 5. Studies of Micellar Electrokinetic Chromatography as an Analytical Technique in Pharmaceutical Analysis - an Industrial Perspective

    Författare :Karin Stubberud; Brian J. Clark; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Pharmaceutical chemistry; Micellar Electrokinetic Chromatography; Pharmaceutical Analysis; Chemometrics; Validation; Mass Spectrometry; Partial-filling technique; Pilocarpine; Ibuprofen; Codeine.; Farmaceutisk kemi; Pharmaceutical chemistry; Farmaceutisk kemi; analytisk farmaceutisk kemi; Analytical Pharmaceutical Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Studies have been performed to evaluate the use of micellar electrokinetic chromatography (MEKC), one mode of capillary electrophoresis (CE), as an analytical technique in industrial pharmaceutical analysis. The potential for using chemometrics for the optimisation of MEKC methods has also been studied as well as the possibilities of coupling MEKC with mass spectrometry (MS). LÄS MER
