    Sammanfattning : Studies have been performed to evaluate the use of micellar electrokinetic chromatography (MEKC), one mode of capillary electrophoresis (CE), as an analytical technique in industrial pharmaceutical analysis. The potential for using chemometrics for the optimisation of MEKC methods has also been studied as well as the possibilities of coupling MEKC with mass spectrometry (MS). LÄS MER

    Författare :Eivor Örnskov; Staffan Folestad; Karin E. Markides; Morteza Khaledi; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Analytical chemistry; capillary electrophoresis CE ; micellar electrokinetic chromatography MEKC ; drug; liposome; microemulsion; coating; pKa; lipophilicity; multivariate analysis; molecular descriptor; hierarchical analysis; passiv absorption; Analytisk kemi; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) was explored as a means for physicochemical and biopharmaceutical characterisation of small drug molecules. Special attention was paid to the characterisation of acid-base and lipophilic properties of drug compounds by analysing their migration behaviour in different CE systems. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Capillary electrophoresis methods for the separation of the basic compound lidocaine and its metabolites

    Författare :Magnus S. Andersson; Karlstads universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Kemi; Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : For the separation of the basic compound lidocaine and its metabolites a variety of capillary electrophoresis (CE) methods have been developed. This includes capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE), micellar electrokinetic chromatography (MEKC) and nonaqueous CE separations. The parameters affecting the separations were investigated and optimized. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Novel on-line mid infrared detection strategies in capillary electrophoretic systems

    Författare :Malin Kölhed; Bo Karlberg; Sven P. Jacobsson; Andre' J. Sommer; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; on-line hyphenation; mid infrared detection; capillary electrophoresis; FTIR; quantum cascade laser; aqueous samples; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Infrared absorption spectra can provide analytically useful information on a large variety of compounds, ranging from small ions to large biological molecules. In fact, all analytes that possess a dipole moment that changes during vibration are infrared-active. The infrared (IR) spectrum can be subdivided into far-, mid- and near- regions. LÄS MER
