    Sammanfattning : In recent years, there has been growing interest in using magnetic multi-core nanoparticles in biomedical applications, and particularly in bioseparation and biosensing. In this thesis, two computer simulation techniques have been implemented to study the magnetic response of these particles, and a microfluidic platform has been fabricated to manipulate bio-functionalized magnetic particles in suspension for immunoassays. In this thesis we tackle this problem from a Bayesian perspective: we use experimental data to update the prior information about model parameters, in order to obtain their posterior distribution.     Sammanfattning : This thesis contains results on high dimensional integration with two papers, paper I and paper II, presenting applications in machine learning and two papers, paper III and paper IV, presenting applications to molecular dynamics.In paper I we present algorithms based on a Metropolis test for training shallow neural networks with trigonometric activation functions.
