  1. 1. Verktyg i lokalt säkerhetsarbete med särskilt fokus på olycksutredningar

    Författare :Mattias Strömgren; Ragnar Andersson; Lars Harms-Ringdahl; Kjell Harald Olsen; Karlstads universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Municipal safety management; local safety management; risk management; tools for safety management; risk analysis; accident investigation; methods for accident investigation; accident investigation process; accident analysis; Kommunalt säkerhetsarbete; lokalt säkerhetsarbete; riskhantering; verktyg för säkerhetsarbete; riskanalys; olycksutredning; metoder för olycksutredning; olycksutredningsprocess; olycksanalys; Public Health Science; Folkhälsovetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Kommuner har en unik position i säkerhetsarbetet genom att vara nära både medborgarna och de olyckor och skador som drabbar befolkningen. Trots långtgående framsteg inom teknologi och ett etablerat välfärdssamhälle utgör personskador till följd av olyckor ett betydande folkhälsoproblem i Sverige liksom i övriga nordiska länder. 2. 2. Analysis of Sensing Systems for the Detection of Pedestrian Impacts

    Författare :Sunan Huang; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; remote sensing system; pedestrian safety; accident investigation; statistical simulation; contact sensor; FE simulation;

    Sammanfattning : In order to reduce pedestrian casualties in vehicle traffic accidents, safety countermeasures, for example the active hood system and external airbag system, have been proposed to protect pedestrians in vehicle collisions. Such a protection system must consist of a sensing system to detect the pedestrian impact and/or the potential impact. LÄS MER

  3. 3. DREAM: A Method for Understanding the Causation of Single-Vehicle Crashes

    Författare :Jesper Sandin; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :driver error; accident model; contributory factors; causation; single-vehicle crashes; case study; pre-crash; accident analysis;

    Sammanfattning : When conducting in-depth causation studies, it is essential that the analysis method can both define and classify contributing factors and be able to analyse how these factors may interact to produce a critical event. These issues are highly influenced by the underlying theory, e.g. the accident model. LÄS MER

  4. 4. CFD Study of Molten Pool Convection in a Reactor Vessel during a Severe Accident

    Författare :Boshen Bian; Walter Villanueva; Sevostian Bechta; Weimin Ma; Shuisheng He; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :Severe accident; Corium; Natural convection; Turbulence; Scalability; Direct numerical simulation DNS .; Svåra haverier; härdsmälta; naturlig konvektion; turbulens; skalbarhet; direkt numerisk simulering DNS .; Physics; Fysik;

    Sammanfattning : During severe accidents in nuclear reactors, the core and internal structures can melt down and relocate into the reactor pressure vessel (RPV) lower head (LH) forming there a stratified molten corium pool. The pool generally consists of superheated oxidic and metallic liquid layers imposing thermo-mechanical loads on the RPV wall. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Managing knowledge sharing of extreme weather induced impacts on land transport infrastructure : Case study of the Swedish Transport Administration

    Författare :Monika Rydstedt Nyman; Lars Nyberg; Magnus Johansson; Eva Liljegren; Peter Söderholm; Karlstads universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; lessons learned; risk management; climate change adaptation; accident investigation method; extreme weather events; natural hazard; land transport infrastructure; maintenance; lärande; kunskapsåterföring; risk hantering; klimatanpassning; olycksutredningsmetod; naturolyckor; landtransport infrastruktur; underhåll; Risk and Environmental Studies; Risk- och Miljöstudier;

    Sammanfattning : Extreme weather events and effects of climate change are threats to the transport sector’s functionality and safety. Risk management in this context implies a necessity to focus on the connection between near-term experiences and coping strategies on one hand, and long-term adaptation analyses on the other. LÄS MER
