  1. 6. Wear mechanisms in sheet metal forming : Effects of tool microstructure, adhesion and temperature

    Författare :Anders Gåård; Pavel Krakhmalev; Jens Bergström; Ulf Olofsson; Karlstads universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Galling; sheet metal forming; wear; friction; adhesion; temperature; Materialteknik; Materials Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The general trend in the car body manufacturing industry is towards low-series production and reduction of press lubricants and car weight. The limited use of lubricants, in combination with the introduction of high and ultrahigh-strength sheet materials, continuously increases the demands on the forming tools. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Bioremediation of Toxic Metals for Protecting Human Health and the Ecosystem

    Författare :Aminur Rahman; Abul Mandal; Jana Jass; Björn Olsson; Pawel Kaszycki; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Heavy Metals; Pollution; Accumulation; Remediation; Human Health; Bacteria; Genome Sequencing; de novo Assembly; Gene Prediction; Biology; Biologi; Bioteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Heavy metal pollutants, discharged into the ecosystem as waste by anthropogenic activities, contaminate drinking water for millions of people and animals in many regions of the world. Long term exposure to these metals, leads to several lethal diseases like cancer, keratosis, gangrene, diabetes, cardio- vascular disorders, etc. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Heavy metals in municipal solid waste deposits

    Författare :Peter Flyhammar; Institutioner vid LTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; teknisk geologi; Hydrogeologi; geographical and geological engineering; Hydrogeology; substrate; transformation; emission; environment; MSW; heavy metals; accumulation; teknisk geografi; Geophysics; physical oceanography; meteorology; Geofysik; fysisk oceanografi; meteorologi; Environmental technology; pollution control; Miljöteknik; kontroll av utsläpp;

    Sammanfattning : Extensive use of heavy metals in modern society influences routes followed by fluxes on the surface of the Earth. The changed flow paths may be harmful for the balance of biological systems at different levels, micro-organisms, human beings and whole ecosystems, since the toxicity of heavy metals is determined by their concentrations and chemical forms. 4. 9. Waterborne sediment and pollutant transport into lakes and accumulation in lake sediments

    Författare :Gull Olli; Gia Destouni; Ingmar Renberg; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Catchment; environmental projects; erosion; eutrophication; phosphorous transport and retention; soil transport; sediment accumulation; Physical geography; Naturgeografi; Physical Geography; naturgeografi;

    Sammanfattning : The general objective of this thesis is to contribute to the knowledge of the transport of sediments and pollutants from catchments to downstream water recipient systems and their accumulation in these systems, such as lakes and lake sediments. One part of the thesis studies the importance of drainage reach morphology and water flow for the phosphorous (P) transport and retention in the reaches, and the main controlling processes of the P retention in the reach sediments. 5. 10. The Positive Effect of Nitrogen Alloying of Tool Steels Used in Sheet Metal Forming

    Författare :Irma Heikkilä; Staffan Jacobson; Sture Hogmark; Pavel Krakhmalev; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :galling; nitrogen; tool steel; sliding contact; metal forming; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot tribomaterial; Engineering Science with specialization in Tribo Materials;

    Sammanfattning : Sheet metal forming processes are mechanical processes, designed to make products from metal sheet without material removal. These processes are applied extensively by the manufacturing industry to produce commodities such as heat exchangers or panels for automotive applications. They are suitable for production in large volumes. LÄS MER
