Drawing on social representation theory, organizations for users of mental health services and self-help groups are regarded as communities where social knowledge is constructed that makes intersubjective understanding of illness experiences possible.    Sammanfattning : Important aspects of family burden, participation in care and needs for support among a total of 422 relatives to severely mentally ill patients, voluntarily and compulsorily admitted to hospital, were investigated in a study performed between 1986-1997.    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis was to investigate the psychometric properties of three global user subjective measures of the ”The Quality Star” clinical review model: Consumer Satisfaction Scale, Global Quality of Life scale, and Perceived Global Distress scale. The mental health implementation context of this review model emphasizes the client as an agent of change, taking part in shared decision making in an empowered role as collaborative partner to the professional clinicians.    Sammanfattning : Psykets laboratorium – skildringar av drogexperiment i Weimarrepubliken investigates texts produced during psychiatric self-experiments with psychedelic drugs in the Weimar Republic in the 1920s, featuring the philosopher Walter Benjamin (1892-1940) as a research subject. In these self-experiments, physicians and volunteer subjects wrote down their experiences of psychotic states that were evoked through the use of psychedelic drugs.
