Sammanfattning : The antiresorptive drugs bisphosphonates and denosumab are widely used to preserve bone strength by inhibiting osteoclast mediated bone resorption. High dose intravenous bisphosphonates and high dose denosumab are mainly used to treat skeletal related events in patients with metastatic bone disease such as metastatic breast cancer and metastatic prostate cancer or in patients with multiple myeloma. Sammanfattning : Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is defined as atherosclerosis in the arteries distal to the aortic bifurcation, with or without symptoms in the legs. It is diagnosed by ankle brachial pressure index (ABI) measurements and symptoms, and a confirmed diagnosis is associated with an increased cardiovascular (CV) mortality reaching the same levels as in patients with symptomatic coronary disease.
