  1. 21. Structure-Reactivity Correlations for Reactions of Palladium(II) and Platinum(IV) Complexes

    Författare :Tiesheng Shi; Kemiska institutionen; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; thiol; l-methionine; maleic acid; carboxylic acid; thioether; platinum IV ; palladium II ; linear free energy relationship; volumes of activation; structure-reactivity correlation; reduction; substitution; equilibria; kinetics; mechanism; glutathione; Animal physiology; Djurfysiologi;

    Sammanfattning : The kinetics and mechanism for substitution reactions on tetraaquapalladium(II) by an extended series of thioethers, a great number of carboxylic acids, and olefins have been studied by use of UV-VIS, stopped-flow, and high-pressure stopped-flow spectrophotometry and NMR spectroscopy. Second-order rate constants k and activation parameters (activation enthalpies, entropies, and volumes) for formation of monodentate 1:1 complexes have been determined. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Mechanistic investigation of platinum and palladium catalysed cross- coupling reactions. Implications for the Stille and Heck reactions

    Författare :Patrik Nilsson; Kemiska institutionen; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Metallorganisk kemi; Organometallic chemistry; Oorganisk kemi; Inorganic chemistry; parameter fitting; numerical solutions; platinum II ; palladium II ; NMR spectroscopy; transmetallation; Heck; Stille; kinetics; mechanism;

    Sammanfattning : The present thesis deals with various types of palladium(II) and platinum(II) complexes and their use in homogeneous catalysis. The focus has been devoted to mechanistic investigations concerning the Stille and Heck reactions and studies under both catalytic and stoichiometric conditions were conducted. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Strategies for Environmental Sustainability of Municipal Energy Companies. Pathways of Sustainable Development between Business and Society

    Författare :Gabriela Schaad; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; climate change; environmental sustainability; strategy; energy system transition; case study; municipal energy company; natural-resource-based view; mechanism; value creation; shared value;

    Sammanfattning : Carbon emissions from energy production have a severe impact on the global climate. The slow transformation of the energy system towards low-carbon alternatives is thus a serious concern. Sweden is recognized as a forerunner in climate change mitigation. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Interactions of Anticancer Active Platinum(II) Complexes with DNA

    Författare :Johan Kjellström; Bröstcancer-genetik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Inorganic chemistry; polyelectrolyte; medium effects; salt dependence; DSC; CD; HPLC; oligonucleotide; hairpin; DNA; anticancer active platinum II compounds; kinetics; mechanism; Oorganisk kemi; Cytology; oncology; cancerology; Cytologi; onkologi; cancer;

    Sammanfattning : The kinetics and mechanism for interactions of the anticancer active platinum(II) complexes cis-[PtCl2(NH3)2)], cis-[PtCl2(NH3)(c-C6H11NH2)], and trans-[PtCl2-(NH3)(quinoline)] with DNA have been studied using a combination of HPLC, circular dichroism (CD), UV/vis spectroscopy, and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Reactions of the monoaqua forms (charge = +1) of these complexes with single-stranded DNA oligonucleotides, typically between 13-17 bases long, were found to depend on i) the composition of the reaction medium, ii) the exact nature and location of the platination target, and iii) on the DNA structure.
