  1. 1. Impact of adjacent dielectrics on the high-frequency performance of graphene field-effect transistors

    Författare :Muhammad Asad; Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; high-frequency electronics; Graphene; transit frequency; contact resistance; MOGFETs; drift velocity; field-effect transistors; saturation velocity; maximum frequency of oscillation; diamond;

    Sammanfattning : Transistors operating at high frequencies are the basic building blocks of millimeter wave communication and sensor systems. The high velocity and mobility of carriers in graphene can open ways for development of ultra-fast group IV transistors with similar or even better performance than that achieved with III-V based semiconductors. 2. 2. Graphene field-effect transistors for high frequency applications

    Författare :Muhammad Asad; Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; high frequency; Graphene; transit frequency; transconductance; maximum frequency of oscillation; contact resistance; microwave electronics; field-effect transistors;

    Sammanfattning : Rapid development of wireless and internet communications requires development of new generation high frequency electronics based on new device concepts and new materials. The very high intrinsic velocity of charge carriers in graphene makes it promising new channel material for high frequency electronics. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Electrical Characterisation of III-V Nanowire MOSFETs

    Författare :Markus Hellenbrand; Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; MOSFET; TFET; III-V; Nanowire; Hysteresis; Low-Frequency Noise; Random Telegraph Noise; cryogenic; Reliability; Radio Frequency; Small-Signal Model;

    Sammanfattning : The ever increasing demand for faster and more energy-efficient electricalcomputation and communication presents severe challenges for the semiconductor industry and particularly for the metal-oxidesemiconductorfield-effect transistor (MOSFET), which is the workhorse of modern electronics. III-V materials exhibit higher carrier mobilities than the most commonly used MOSFET material Si so that the realisation of III-V MOSFETs can enable higher operation speeds and lower drive voltages than that which is possible in Si electronics. 4. 4. Frequency Analysis of Sampled-Data Systems Applied to a Lime Slaking Process

    Författare :Olof Lindgärde; Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Nyckelord :periodic systems; intersample behavior; sampled-data system; lime slaking; multirate sampling; frequency analysis; tank reactor; product inhibited; modeling;

    Sammanfattning : Single-rate and multirate sampled-data (SD) systems as well as linear time periodic (LTP) systems with discrete jumps are analyzed in the frequency domain. The focus of the analysis is both on rejection of disturbances and on robust stability properties. LÄS MER

    Författare :Malin Edvardsson; Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Nyckelord :shear oscillation; actuator; Quartz crystal microbalance; amplitude; streptavidin; lipid vesicles; biosensor; colloidal particles; size distribution; QCM-D; protein binding; DNA hybridization; dual harmonic; lipid bilayer formation;

    Sammanfattning : The QCM-D (quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation monitoring) technique is an increasingly popular tool in studies of molecular interactions at interfaces, e.g. binding/unbinding reactions at surfaces, studies of thin film properties, and conformational changes. LÄS MER
