1. Pointwise Maximal Leakage : Robust, Flexible and Explainable Privacy
Sammanfattning : For several decades now, safeguarding sensitive information from disclosure has been a key focus in computer science and information theory. Especially, in the past two decades, the subject of privacy has received significant attention due to the widespread collection and processing of data in various facets of society. LÄS MER
2. Sobolev-Type Spaces : Properties of Newtonian Functions Based on Quasi-Banach Function Lattices in Metric Spaces
Sammanfattning : This thesis consists of four papers and focuses on function spaces related to first-order analysis in abstract metric measure spaces. The classical (i.e., Sobolev) theory in Euclidean spaces makes use of summability of distributional gradients, whose definition depends on the linear structure of Rn. LÄS MER
3. Maximal theorems and Calderón-Zygmund type decompositions forthe fractional maximal function
Sammanfattning : A very significant role in the estimation of different operators in analysis is played by the Hardy-Littlewood maximal function. There are a lot of papers dedicated to the study of properties of it, its variants, and their applications. LÄS MER
4. Sleep disordered breathing and hemodynamic function
Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses the association between sleep disordered breathing (SDB) and hemodynamic function. A cross sectional study in a sleep laboratory cohort (n=1190) demonstrated a dose-response relationship between the severity of SDB, expressed as respiratory disturbance index (RDI), and office blood pressure, heart rate, and the risk of hypertension. 5. Algebras of bounded holomorphic functions
Sammanfattning : Some problems concerning the algebra of bounded holomorphic functions from bounded domains in Cn are solved. A bounded domain of holomorphy Q in C2 with nonschlicht i7°°- envelope of holomorphy is constructed and it is shown that there is a point in Q for which Gleason’s Problem for H°°(Q) cannot be solved.
