21. Studies of some Operators of Harmonic Analysis in certain Function Spaces with Applications to PDEs
Sammanfattning : The study in this PhD thesis aims at development of certain mathematical methods used in applications, in particular, in the study of regularity properties of solutions in various mathematical models described by Partial Differential Equations (PDEs). To this end, we study various operators of harmonic analysis in certain function spaces, since solutions to many PDEs may be expressed in terms of such operators. LÄS MER
22. Weight characterizations of discrete Hardy and Carleman type inequalities
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with some generalizations of the discrete Hardy and Carleman type inequalities and the relations between them. In Chapter 1 we give an introduction and overview of the area that serves as a frame for the rest of the thesis. LÄS MER
23. Future stability of the Einstein-Maxwell-Scalar field system and non-linear wave equations coupled to generalized massive-massless Vlasov equations
Sammanfattning : This thesis consists of two articles related to mathematical relativity theory. In the first article we prove future stability of certain spatially homogeneous solutionsto Einstein’s field equations. The matter model is assumed to consist of an electromagnetic field and a scalar field with a potential creating an accelerated expansion. LÄS MER
24. Vector-valued Eisenstein series of congruence types and their products
Sammanfattning : Historically, Kohnen and Zagier connected modular forms with period polynomials, and as a consequence of this association concluded that the products of at most two Eisenstein series span all spaces of classical modular forms of level 1. Later Borisov and Gunnells among other authors extended the result to higher levels. LÄS MER
25. Estimates for Discrete Hardy-type Operators in Weighted Sequence Spaces
Sammanfattning : This PhD thesis consists of an introduction and eight papers, which deal with questions of the validity of some new discrete Hardy type inequalities in weighted spaces of sequences and on the cone of non-negative monotone sequences, and their applications. In the introduction we give an overview of the area that serves as a frame for the rest of the thesis. LÄS MER
