   Sammanfattning : This study concerns visual culture in 64 children-s (6- to 8-year-olds) everyday practices at a Swedish after-school center. It draws on an interdisciplinary theoretical framework, ranging from visual culture to discourse analysis, exposing the complexity of visuality in children-s social interactions, when talking about TV-programs, mimicing Spice Girls videos, drawing caricatures or looking at picture books. Simulators have been observed in use to discern how medical practices are created out of the simulations.    Sammanfattning : In this thesis the aim is to explore how the phenomenon of working through child sexual abuse can be understood; its historical, discursive and social conditions and relations to gender and other power structures. The main study consists of 30 interviews conducted in 2003-2005 with eight women, 29 to 69 years old, representing three different social classes, all abused in childhood and all but one by their father.    Sammanfattning : During the last thirty years, the Evangelical relationship with the State of Israel has drawn much academic and popular attention, particularly from historical, theological, and political perspectives. This dissertation engages with this literature but also complements it with an ethnographic account of the discursive practices of Evangelical Zionists through which, it is suggested, much of the religious significance of the contemporary state is being produced.
