  1. 6. Combinatorics of solvable lattice models with a reflecting end

    Författare :Linnea Hietala; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; mathematics; mathematical physics; six-vertex model; eight-vertex SOS model; three-color model; reflecting end; domain wall boundary conditions; partition function; determinant formula; XYZ spin chain; alternating sign matrices; special polynomials; positive coefficients;

    Sammanfattning : I den här avhandlingen studerar vi några exakt lösbara, kvantintegrerbara gittermodeller. Izergin bevisade en determinantformel för partitionsfunktionen till sexvertexmodellen på ett gitter av storlek n × n med Korepins domänväggrandvillkor (domain wall boundary conditions – DWBC). 2. 7. Long Term Outcome and Prediction Models of Cognition, Activities of Daily Living and Nursing Home Placement in Alzheimer’s Disease with Cholinesterase Inhibitor Treatment

    Författare :Carina Wattmo; Klinisk minnesforskning; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; longitudinal studies; nursing home placement; activities of daily living; cognition; Alzheimer s disease; cholinesterase inhibitors; disease progression; predictors; statistical models.;

    Sammanfattning : Background Prospective longitudinal studies in Alzheimer's disease (AD) that include cholinesterase inhibitor (ChEI) treatment in routine clinical settings are scarce. The patients vary in severity of the disease, clinical course, rate of progression and response to treatment. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Models for Wet Scrubbing of SO2 and NOx

    Författare :Charlotte Brogren; Avdelningen för kemiteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; limestone scrubbing; wet scrubbing; absorption; WFGD; flue gases; SO2; mass transfer; NOx; Chemical technology and engineering; Kemiteknik och kemisk teknologi;

    Sammanfattning : Combustion of fossil fuels is the main source for emissions of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides. Emission regulations and the growing environmental awareness will make great demands upon cost-effective deSO2 and deNOx techniques in the future. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Multivariable Frequency-Domain Identification of Industrial Robots

    Författare :Erik Wernholt; Svante Gunnarsson; Jan Swevers; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Frequency-domain identification; industrial robots; nonparametric identification; nonlinear gray-box identification; multivariable systems; closed-loop identification; Automatic control; Reglerteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Industrirobotar är idag en väsentlig del i tillverkningsindustrin där de bland annat används för att minska kostnader, öka produktivitet och kvalitet och ersätta människor i farliga eller slitsamma uppgifter. Höga krav på noggrannhet och snabbhet hos robotens rörelser innebär också höga krav på de matematiska modeller som ligger till grund för robotens styrsystem. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Numerical models for degradation of concrete in hydraulic structures due to long-term contact with water

    Författare :Daniel Eriksson; Anders Ansell; Richard Malm; Erik Nordström; Katja Fridh; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; degradation; deterioration mechanisms; hydraulic structures; air-entrained concrete; multiphase model; long-term moisture conditions; pore size distribution; freezing; partially saturated; finite element method; Civil and Architectural Engineering; Byggvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : The durability of concrete is of major concern in all types of concrete structures where the combined effect of exposure conditions and the type and quality of the concrete material usually determines the rate of degradation. Furthermore, there are synergy effects between different deterioration mechanisms, which means that the combined rate of degradation is higher than the sum of the individual rates of each mechanism.
