1. Graphical representations of Ising and Potts models : Stochastic geometry of the quantum Ising model and the space-time Potts model
Sammanfattning : HTML clipboard Statistical physics seeks to explain macroscopic properties of matter in terms of microscopic interactions. Of particular interest is the phenomenon of phase transition: the sudden changes in macroscopic properties as external conditions are varied. LÄS MER
2. REFORMERS PÅVERKAN PÅ LÄRARES UNDERVISNING I GRUNDSKOLAN OCH FÖRSKOLAN : En läroplansteoretisk studie om undervisningsuppdraget och lärarrollen i förändring
Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis is to use a curriculum theoretical perspective to contribute knowledge about the impact of recent reforms on teachers’/preschool teachers’ teaching, with a special focus on mathematics. The thesis takes its starting point in a licentiate thesis that was completed in 2014. LÄS MER
3. Inverse Problems for Tumour Growth Models and Neural ODEs
Sammanfattning : This thesis concerns the application of methods and techniques from the theory of inverse problems and differential equations to study models arising in the areas of mathematical oncology and deep learning. The first problem studied is to develop methods to perform numerical simulations with full 3-dimensional brain imaging data of reaction-diffusion models for tumour growth forwards as well as backwards in time with the goal of enabling the numerical reconstruction of the source of the tumour given an image (or similar data) at a later stage in time of the tumour. 4. Articles on Potential Theory, Functional Analysis and Hankel Forms
Sammanfattning : Paper I: Perfekt, K.-M. and Putinar, M., Spectral bounds for the Neumann-Poincaré operator on planar domains with corners, to appear in J. LÄS MER
5. Generative models of limit order books
Sammanfattning : In this thesis generative models in machine learning are developed with the overall aim to improve methods for algorithmic trading on high-frequency electronic exchanges based on limit order books. The thesis consists of two papers. LÄS MER
